LURC 2.2 Wheel Review
I was just finishing up my 2.2 mega truck build and was starting to think about wheels, (what that really meant which locked up rc wheels I was going to go with). The stock axial wheel just weren’t cutting it on this build.
So I jumped online and started to look though the different wheels then found this neat option they have on the website, these packages to make it easier to make sure you don’t forget anything. On top of the ease of making it to order there packages where on sale.
After looking though all my option I decided to go with 2.2 ikari
Placed my order then waited a couple day then this showed up on my door step, box shipped in a bag.
Everything was packaged nice and looked so pretty when you first open it up.
Pulled everything out to take a good look at them and to set them out to get a picture to share/show off to all my rc buddies
.
The 2.2 ikari and the agile ring look really good together, the agile really lets you see all the detail in this awesome wheel.
The first thing I had to do was test to see how well the rings fit rings fit the stock wheels, seem to work good especially if you don’t want/have the money to spend on a complete wheel set.
Moving along I started to assemble the rings with all the screws that are just for looks.
Then its time to throw the center section into tires and screw the back and front rings on with the 12 screws, 6 front and 6 on back.
(a lot of people have had issues mounting proline tires on some brands of wheels, the LURC wheels make it pretty easy to mount proline tires.)
That’s all there is to mount some tires on some LURC wheels like they say “easy mount”, just throw on some LURC slw hubs or VP hubs and you’re ready to go with some nice wheels.
